2. What is your favorite WOD/Movement?

Toes to Bar (still working on)

Push plates

4. What were you doing before CrossFit? How did you hear about CrossFit and/CrossFit Northlake?

Working out on my own (mostly light weights and elliptical trainer) and mountain biking inconsistently before CrossFit. Heard about CrossFit through my daughter who was doing it.

5. What other sports or activities do you participate in as a family besides CrossFit?

Contemporary dance and mountain biking

6. How many times per week do you CrossFit?

3-5

7. What is your athletic background?

Only for personal fitness and enjoyment

8. Give us some insight as to your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit Northlake.

After my first workout at CrossFit Northlake, I thought I was going to die. So exhausted and thought I would never lift more than an empty bar with appropriate movement.

9. Do you have any special or favorite CrossFit Northlake memories/moments?

My favorite CrossFit moment was going to the Christmas party and feeling confident to wear what I wanted knowing that I looked good from all of the work I had been putting in to my body. It was also a great memory because I felt like a was a member of the CrossFit Northlake community and enjoyed the evening talking and getting to know members on a more personal level.

10. What advice would you give to a newbie or someone just joining CrossFit Northlake?

Stick with it! You can accomplish more than you think, both physically and mentally.

11. What is your eating style?

Low carbohydrate diet (not quite Paleo), limited caffeine and lots of water

12. What kind of results have you seen since starting at CrossFit Northlake?

Body has become stronger all over, larger muscles, more stamina, and better posture. Mentally stronger and more confident.

13. What do you do for a living?

Speech Language Pathology in the schools

14. What drive you to be an active family?

Desire to stay fit, healthy, and the need to find mental clarity (break from thinking about everything else)
